Pigment printing

Pigment ink is fixed with heat, so nothing needs steaming or washing.

Pigment inks are printed straight onto the cloth and cured with heat. There is no steaming or washing step afterwards, so fabric comes off the line ready to pack and fine lines stay crisp.

We print on imported industrial machines, set up for cotton, linen, rayon and blends.

Indian Soft Colours is a digital printing unit in Chithode, near Erode. We print for more than 100 businesses: home-textile makers, fashion designers and apparel brands.

What is pigment digital printing?

Pigment inks are jetted onto the fabric by an industrial digital printer and fixed with heat. Unlike reactive printing there is no steaming or washing step afterwards, so it suits cotton, linen, rayon and blends and keeps fine lines sharp.

Which fabrics can Indian Soft Colours print on?

Cotton poplin, cambric, voile, twill, satin, slub, jersey, interlock, rib knit and muslin, plus linen, rayon and blends such as cotton-modal. Ask us about other bases.

Can you create the design for me?

Yes. Send finished artwork and we prepare it for print, or send a brief, reference or sketch and our in-house studio draws the design.
